A new venture…

I’ve been asked to be a part of a new venture–an ebook publishing company.

I’m seriously considering it. I’d be in charge of all cover design, and all book layouts.

My only concern is finding authors willing to publish with a new start up company.

Still, I’m going to give it a lot of thought!

Anybody have any ideas or suggestions? Any experience with ebook publishers?

finally!

The wedding was perfect!

The music got unplugged just in time for the bridal march, so I stood there waiting for it to be plugged back in.

My three nephews (7, 6, and 3) did absolutely wonderfully!  A. (6) points at us and yells out that we’re getting married–during the ceremony. B (7) was in a bad mood and glaring at A. for not standing still.

The Unity candle which my mother, stepmother, and new mother-in-law were supposed to light to signify the joining of our families…failed to light. To which baby H. (3) demanded to know “What was wrong with’da’candles?”

And the officiant/minister asks the groom and I…”How many women does it take to light a candle?”

To which I replied, “Apparently more than three!”

All in all, it was the perfect, small country church wedding. My daddy cried. The groom was nervous. The mothers were stressed. I burst out laughing (I warned everyone a head of time that I probably would!)

The ‘page’ (my 6 yr old nephew) was dressed in a little white tuxedo–and white tennis shoes, and stood as my attendant. He was James Bond, you know! The best “boy” (my 7 yr old nephew) was dressed in a little black tuxedo and stood very solemn at the alter, hands clasped in front of him. And the little “usherlet” (my 3 yrd old nephew), did perfectly–walking his grandma down the aisle to be seated. But instead of sitting down like we’d planned, he decided he needed to stand at the alter, too!

No surprise; not really. Not since he’d told me at the rehearsal (after refusing to participate in the first run through) that “Ok. I’ll marry you tomorrow!”

And he did. And he was very proud of himself! I was proud of him, too.

And I wouldn’t change even a single thing about the whole thing!

Now, I’m going to go enjoy my honeymoon!

(We went to a very special place for our honeymoon–The Medicine cabinet. He had the Sudafed, while I had the Benadryl. We’re both allergic to hay–and the church was surrounded on three sides by a hay field!)

Love Always,
